These GRP  fiberglass drums were used for soaking, pickle and tannage of raw skins as well as for chrome tannage of dyeing merchandise. They have the big advantage of enabling the floating process in horizontal and vertical direction, and thus reducing the necessary amount of water and chemicals min 30%  in comparison to the usually used vats. The penetration effect of the chemicals and the soaking were improved by that.

Drums had been used in a German tannery with strong environment regulation, which means that they really reduce amounts of water and chemicals min 30%. Drums are 2500 x 2500 with all necessary equipment.
