Description:
Tannery water pollution plant with aapacity approx. 30-35 m3/hour.
It is a floatation unit. That means that effluent is pumped to it from a storage/homogenisation tank. This tank normally should hold the total water consumption. In this case it is a 250m3 concrete tank which by obvious reasons is not included. Sulphide oxidation also takes place in a tank out doors and is not included. The plant is as you ask set up for liming to finishing, but the two above mentioned tanks will be considered “infra structure” and have to be built on site.
The original manual exist but would in any case be outdated as it has never been set up to go fully automatic, and has expanded with new sludge dewatering system (filter presses).
Capacity is approx. 30-35 m3/hour. Naturally depending on quality of the water, how much solids.
Tannery had a total water usage of 500-550 m3 per day and was operating the plant on 1-1,5 shifts.
They had a large proportion of vegetable in their retanning which produces a lot of solids.
Electric installed power is about 65 kW. Plant is still as it was while in use.
